SIKI MSUSENI

FASHION, FUNKY, SMART, BEAUTIFUL, TRUE AFRICAN TASTE, i could go on....

When i met this girl i was having a bad day, mainly because I did not do my assignment and i had reached the due date. My friend Palesa Mzozonyana was sitting with me and trying to help me come up with an excuse for why my assignment will not be submitted.

Now you would think that Siki would help me with any ideas, no she did not. All she did was put a smile on my face, i mean i started laughing the minute she sat down. She brought her smile, her charisma, and of course her sense of unique fashion taste. I had been on campus for two years and never really seen that style.

Other than that she brought such a positive energy that ideas started flowing in my brains. I still got 0 for that assignment.

So as the weeks progressed, i would see Siki around campus and every time we crossed paths she would stop and give me 2 minutes of her busy lifestyle just to say hello....

I have seen this girl on TV, and all i could think was SCRIPTED... but what you see is what you get. I stopped blooging but i came back because of this woman. For a gay man i hope i am not the only girl learning from her, i think so many women can take few tricks from her, dressing, choosing the right clothes and so on, she is the master of dressing according to your torso, and i can only hope that when we walk away from SIKI we take something from her. Talk about African, young, chic and SIMPLE... she is the walking ethemology of Fashion.

Writing this i am filled with emotions because Siki has had quiet an impact in my life, she is one person who really lives her life on a positive note, she is always smiling, yebbing (sorry) and is always generous. The time that i have known her she has taught me few things, first and foremost be crazy and never worry yourself about things that don't really matter in your life. She once said to me when you wake up no matter what situation, please try and put a smile on your face, what ever awaits you during the day, handle it as it comes, do not bottle things in one bottle... otherwise your day is F&%$ed.

And she was right, and after all that i have followed her on twitter, Facebook and i know everything that she does daily...

There is so much that i can say about this lovely lady and i tell you, i can go on... All i can say is i am lucky to have Siki as my friend....

To follow this lady on Facebook please search for Siki Msuseni, or twitter at msuseni, i follow her and if i can tell you, she went to Franschoek and i followed her... i am not a stalker my friend... If there is another thing that i would like to state, Siki is a perfect example of low budget but yet classy and sophisticated look person. She knows where to buy and does not go for the highly priced clothes and knows how to pick her clothes. So if you would like to organize a make over to say well she is the right girl. She is a perfect example of you don't need a rich boyfriend to look good. That why i love her,,,, Thanks for the inspiration.....

My friend, my sister, my lover, and my everything............... hearts

I wear Ray Ban Sunglasses

Ray Ban Sunglasses

001_71.png
Ray Ban flip out collection!

Growing my dad was what they called Tai Tai, he used to wear Crocket and Jones, had a perm and carried a cane but what topped it was his Ray Ban sunglasses. The ladies went crazy went they saw him, hence my mom left him :) So growing up i always told myself that when i grow up i want to be just like my dad. That did not go so well, the one thing i walked away with was the Ray Ban look.

I can't say too much, but i have to admit Ray Ban Sunglasses are taking the world by storm. when you wear sunglasses  you have to wear what looks good on your face, something that compliments your facial structure. I have seen people wearing huge sunglasses, and i really don't understand it. It is really irritating seeing someone wearing big sunglasses! its like wearing big size shoes an you can't walk, think of a 6 year old girl doing play house and want to look like mom game, they always put on their mothers fuc-gly stilettos.

So lets just say people aren't clear with what with happening around them.

MY COLLECTION OF FRAGRANCES

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE SMELLING GOOD. BECAUSE I DO!
Burberry SPORT

  • A fresh and masculine scent with invigorating top notes of ginger, grapefruit and wheatgrass
  • The heart notes of marine breeze and red juniper berries capture the energy of outdoor sports whilst woody base tones of cedar, musk and dry amber ground this distinctive fragrance

Burberry THE BEAT

  • A smooth and woody fragrance with top notes of invigorating black pepper, cedrat and violet=
  • A blend of geranium and aromatic white thyme composes the
  • fresh heart notes for a spiced, masculine scent

    DIOR HOMME SPORT

Provocative and enchanting, Dior Homme Sport is imbued with the brashness of youth and a vivifying freshness. With ginger as the predominant spicy note, this ardent and yet delightfully fresh composition opens with a fresh and bursting Sicilian Citron accord while at the base the Atlas Cedarwood accord offers a masculine and elegant anchor.

    COMME Des GARCONS 888
The premise of 888 is as original and unexpected as one comes to expect from this truly avant-garde line: to translate the smell of gold into perfume. The blend, spiced by coriander and geranium and enriched by amber, is a perfect olfactory rendition of the precious metal, the dazzling brightness of which is as warm and inviting as it is cold and distant.

    TOM FORD BLACK ORCHID

The attention is captured by a sensuous blend of Black Truffle and Ylang mingled with fresh Bergamot and delectable Blackcurrant.

    TASHAS CAFE

TASHAS CAFE - The most amazing place in Johannesburg

Moving here i heard that this city has a lot to offer, I have rather been a little impatient with the city. I guess i have to give it time to see what it can offer. I am so crazy about the city line though. Its beautiful at night, i sometimes wish i could find the highest point just to check out the blazing lights.

So fine i got here last month, and decided to stay after getting a job with Student Village . So i have been out at couple of places. The one that stood out most for me was Tashas Cafe in Rosebank. I liked the whole French vibe they have. I guess its ok to call it my #1 spot for now, but by the looks of things i am not going any where. Please don't get me started with the food -they are to die for. When i visit Tashas Cafe and there is no space i get so angry with myself for not pre booking. I personally think this place would be great in Cape Town, Kloof Street. It has such a prodigious vibe that when you walk out, you feel good. My friends call me a glutton, but i don't care the food there is so amazing that i don't get enough of it.

I know it looks great and all expensive but trust me its affordable. It is not an every weekend place to visit rather awesome for friends get together or even dates.

Something about Tashas reminds me of my favorite Sea food restaurants in Cape Town, just to name few Beluga, Blonde and Sevruga not forgetting Vanilla.

I don't want to say much, all i can say is GO AND TRY IT OUT!

    One & Only

Camera, lights, action! Glamour, sassy, chic, and cocktails!

Many young people dream of that mansion, convertible cars and good hot partner to share it all with. Well I have to say as a young man, an up and coming publicist. I never really thought that i could pull it off. I decided to throw a cocktail party to celebrate my birthday at One & Only Hotel at the Waterfront. I only dreamt of a small thing but the turnout was remarkable. When people heard i was having a party at the One &; Only Hotel, they thought OMG that means we have to go all out and buy all these expensive clothes and man they all looked great.

If i can get people to go shopping and buy all those brands just for my birthday, think about all the birthdays coming up. It only boils to Big, Glamour, and Fabulosity in the years to come. It all depends on what i decide to do with myself in the future, do i put myself out there and become the next top publicist and definitely not going the Khanyi Mbau route or maybe i will. But i promise you i will do whatever ko se mandleni (in my power).

Anyhow without deviating away from the topic! One &; Only Hotel. Anyhow so the party started at 7:30pm. Right from the start it was such a ball, as i have mentioned people came rocking their Jimmy Choo and Valentino just to name a few. Oh just so you i had my pants from Mr Price, but i still looked good.
When it came to cocktails and nibbles, am i that awesome to have olives, bread sticks and some that i cannot pronounce  and top of the class cocktails for my friends. You know how some places can be greedy with alcohol, well of all places i’ve been in Cape Town, Vista Bar knows how to make the best cocktails and because they are so great, you keep on asking for more.

So i would like to give thanks to all my friends more especially to start with Keshia, Mpingana, and Raymond for taking me out for Lunch and Maneh for joining us that afternoon for 2 for 1 cocktails. For Princess for landing us her stove and private space, and last but not least Seth and Dennis, if i could i would name you all. But just know you guys hold a special place in my heart.

The view at night is amazing!

I had to see it myself!

    City lights
When i was approached by my fellow amazing friends to go hiking on the lions head, i was a bit sceptical but ended up going. I was only told the after while cruizing around Cape Town that we are going hiking! Anyhow we went up there, it took us approximately 45min to get up there. I am not the hiking type but this time i just had to go, simply because its in the top 100 things to do in Cape Town.

    Trig beacon
You know what they say about Cape Town is such a small world, i was shocked to see how many people i knew along the way up. Anyhow so as we went up the mountain i couldn't wait to get there. Now the fun part was when i had to climb up using a chain, one mistake i'm done. Some heavy lifting was made along, i hated it but i survived the climbing.
The other thing i noticed was how when you looking up the mountain it seems really far but i tell you it is worth it. If ever you in CT and you want to do something challenging just go hiking. I know it does not seem so exciting and challenging but it is!
    admiring the view
The narrow paths, man i hated them because then at most time i had to let the first person in only to find out that there are 12 more people coming down on the same route. I just had to be patient because i was nearly there. So we get up there and the view was so amazing. i like it how you have all views, from Camps bay, Sea Point, City to Table Mountain. so we setup our little spot, took loads of pictures. 8pm hit we were still up there and by then everyone had left. Nevermind us we were enjoying the quietness and view more especially at night. Time came for us to go back down, smart we only had one touch and cell phones. There is 5 of us. Four out voted the one and we had to spend the night on the mountain.

    Posing
It was not fun at all, i was cold and uncomfortable. We found and rock and slept underneath it, i could not sleep at all. I was up all night and the next thing i knew it was 3.45am and i could not take it anymore, so we all head down. Thank God there was a full moon out at that time. So we went down and when we got down there was a sign that said NO CAMPING. how funny was that? So yes, hiking was fun and the not prepared for camping was not. other than that it was great!

    Camps bay site
    about to head up
